Roof mounted dryer vents need to have the vent louvers cleaned on a yearly basis to prevent burning up your dryer or
to prevent dryer fires. You will be able to see the lint stuck in the dryer vent from your yard. You can access the
dryer vent from the attic or from the roof. From the attic you will see a metal stack mounted to the dryer flange by
aluminum tape. Remove the tape and pull down on the metal stack to remove it from the dryer flange. Reach up
inside the vent to remove the lint from the flapper lid top side, bottom and the vent louvers. Reassemble when
cleaned. From the roof you will need a long handled screw driver to remove the lint from the dryer vents louvers, top and
bottom side of the flapper lid. Be sure to clean the dryer vent flex hose from your dryer to the wall.
