It is important to keep your showers or tubs tile sealed in the corners, where the shower pan floor
meets the wall and the frame of the shower door to the tile.
First you need to clean your shower or tub tile with Comet cleanser using an old tooth brush to get
into the corners and grout lines. Leave the Comet set for an hour or so as It has bleach in it and will help
to remove the mold and mildew. Repeat until the tile and grout lines are clean. Remove all old sealant
from around the shower door frame, corners and tile to tub area's. Clean the area's where the old sealant and
loose grout was removed with the same method.
Dry these area's with a towel getting into all the corners as well. Use a fan in the shower or tub area
for an hour or 2 until all is dry. If the mold persist you can use bleach to remove the remaining mold.
Read and heed all label warnings and use protective clothing and eye ware.
Use a 100 % silicone sealant or caulking to seal all the area's where the old sealant was removed.
Your can purchase several colors of grout in a caulking tube to replace missing grout at your
local hardware store.
Let the sealant dry for 24 hours before using the shower or tub.
It is also helpful to buy grout seal to seal all the grout line using an artist brush and wiping the remains
off your tile with a clean cloth. Let the grout seal dry for 24 hours.
